Fix, ignore, quit or suffer

Some of us get fuzzy when facing serious problems. We don’t like those unless they are fixed, addressed. Sometimes we can fix them on our own and sometimes we need to alert others who can. Sometimes we imagine problems and sometimes we don’t.

What I’ve learnt from experience > if a serious problem (current or future) is not addressed or if I can’t let it go – the best course of action is to quit. Move on. Everything else will lead to mutually non-beneficial frustration, stress and add up to what some deem as unnatural, like burnout and/or toxic working environment. Neither are good. Don’t believe me? Great! Don’t. Validate it on your own.

The algorithm is simple. If you identify a problem and you are unable to fix it – report it. Report it 3 times if you have to (no more). If it is not addressed then either ignore it, quit or get frustrated, rant and then prepare for burnout which will eventually lead to either quitting or being shown the door.

Doing anything else would not make you a hero, smart, a person of “principles”. On the contrary it would make you an idiot who repeatedly tries in the same way, fails and is unable to face the fact > if a serious issue can’t be addressed after 3 alerts – 300 won’t make a change. Having long discussions and meetings, arguing, begging, showing “data” – it won’t fucking matter cuz it does it would have been addressed by the 3rd attempt. In this context trying harder does not scale. Fix, ignore, quit or suffer. Up to you.
